chef cooks his lover and eats him

LONDON - A chef who murdered his lover and ate part of his flesh after cooking it with fresh herbs and olive oil was recently jailed for at least 30 years.
Sentencing Anthony Morley to life, judge James Stewart said the murder was one of the most gruesome he had ever encountered and reminiscent of a scene from a work of fiction.
"Not only did you murder your victim by cutting his throat and stabbing him, but you cut him up, cooked him and ate part of him," Stewart said, according to the Press Association.
"Before this case I had associated cannibalism with eras long gone, with the tale of Robinson Crusoe. No longer. You have plumbed depths rarely encountered in our court."
Morley, 36, a former winner of the Mr Gay UK contest, stood in the dock with his head bowed as he was sentenced. There was a cry of "murderer" from the public gallery at Leeds Crown Court.
The jury heard how Morley attacked Damian Oldfield, 33, in Leeds in April after they went to bed together. Morley, who had denied murder, said he feared he was going to be raped.
He carved a section of flesh from Oldfield's thigh and another from his chest. Six pieces of cooked human flesh were found on a chopping board in Morley's kitchen.
Herbs, olive oil and seeds were found on the work surface near the cooker and a frying pan was on the hob with the remnants of fried herbs and oil in it.
A section of flesh, which appeared to have been chewed, was found in a bin bag.
Morley was arrested after he walked into a takeaway restaurant and said he had just killed someone.
"Thankfully disturbing crimes of this type remain incredibly rare events," said Detective Inspector Scott Wood, of West Yorkshire Police, who led the investigation. "None of the investigation team has been involved in a crime of this nature before."
The victim's mother, Denise Oldfield, said her son had been killed "in the cruelest of circumstances."

Sexy Putin

MILAN - Vladimir Putin's bare-chested heroics have caught the eye of a prominent gay Italian celebrity, who has labelled the Russian Prime Minister his "erotic dream" and the sexiest man in the world.
Gay TV show host and the magazine editor Alfonso Signorini was asked a few days ago by leading Italian newspaper La Stampa to identify the sexiest man in Italy.
He did not know, but said: "In the world, this is certainly Vladimir Putin."
"When I saw his naked torso and a slain Siberian tiger lying at his feet, I almost had a stroke ... Won-der-ful!" he said.
"He is my erotic dream. I find him absolutely astonishing.
"I'm attracted by his charisma and his icy glance."
The comments could embarrass both the Italian and Russian governments, The Moscow Times reported.
Signorini said he had asked Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi to introduce him to Putin, but that Berlusconi laughed in response.
According to the Moscow Times, Putin told a news conference last year he is tolerant of gays, saying he respected "man's freedoms, whatever forms they take".

Swinging: A Swedish pastime

STOCKHOLM - Judging by the number of column inches devoted to the subject in recent months, it seems that swinging is Sweden’s new favorite hobby. "It's fun and I like to have several men at once," says Annika, a 41-year-old shop assistant from Stockholm. "I started swinging just for another experience," she says. "I don't have a boyfriend, but several lovers instead. So when I go swinging, I just take one of them along with me."
"Things can get pretty 'interesting' at times," says Leif, organizer and owner of Svenska Swingers. "At our 'relax' club night, anyone can come - there is no restriction in terms of sexual orientation: bisexuals, homosexuals, transvestites, transsexuals - everyone is welcome."
The Svenska Swingers website was launched in 1999 and currently has over 7,500 members, who reputedly include celebrities, judges, policemen and politicians. The Gothenburg-based organization holds an event once a month for about 50 to 60 people. Leif explains that one of the most common questions he receives from new members is, 'what will I do if I meet my neighbor?'
"People feel a shame connected with swinging, many may talk about it, but few actually do it. Swinging is not socially accepted at all. People condemn it as if it's some sort of disorder. There is a real double moral in Sweden. Freedom of speech and expression is held in such high regard for issues such as religion, but when it comes to sex, you cannot be public in any way."
The club doesn't admit any men under 25. Apparently, "they get too overexcited and just run around the place chasing orgasms. "The club does have some young women members though: "They call themselves 'nymphs'. These girls say that they need massive amounts of sex, but don't want the hassle of relationships. Some of these girls have 'parties' with multiple men at once on a weekly basis."
Leif adds: "A friend of mine said that he thinks every couple should try swinging at least twice. The first time can be a bit of a shock, so the second visit is a must."
